The Katie McBride Foundation is a long-time supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) New York Metro. This year, RMHC received a $25,000 donation which will directly support sick children and families, like the McBrides.
“The House was our home for many months. It enabled Katie to have her mother and family with her during all the grueling treatments. The assistance and support they provided over the course of those months was immeasurable. We’d like to show our appreciation for all their help and for the assistance they continue to provide other families in the same situation.” – The McBride Family
Katie McBride Fitness Center
Since 2010, the Katie McBride Foundation has been a generous supporter of sick children and families at RMHC New York Metro. In 2014, RMHC established the Katie McBride Fitness Center with funds raised from the organization. As part of Project Design in 2013-2014, the new Fitness Center provides families with a clean, well-equipped space to exercise while at the House. Visitors will find a memory wall celebrating Katie’s life in the space.
The family founded the Katie McBride Foundation to honor Katie’s memory and support families dealing with leukemia and other childhood cancers. In honoring Katie, the Foundation raises funds and brings awareness to RMHC New York Metro.
Katie’s Legacy of Love
The McBride family passionately supports charitable organizations. Annually, they organize events such as Katie’s Run and Katie’s Koncert to benefit families in need. The Foundation also supports families directly with The Katie McBride Memorial Scholarship. The Scholarship supports local college-bound students who demonstrate exceptional volunteer service to the community.
Katie McBride’s memory lives on. Hundreds of families benefit from the Foundation’s generosity each year. With your help, we can continue to provide families with better access to care for their sick child needs. Ronald McDonald House is committed to enriching the lives of children by providing comfort, care, and support to families. Thank you for your support.
