The Life and Legacy of Dr. Audrey Evans

“A FAMILY WITH A SICK CHILD, IS A SICK FAMILY”

Dr. Audrey Evans

Dr. Evans envisioned a place where parents could stay close to their seriously ill children while they were receiving treatment—an idea that led to the creation of the first Ronald McDonald House. This House became a sanctuary where families could stay together, near the hospital, and receive the support they so desperately needed during life’s most challenging moments. It became the foundation for the care and compassion that Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) continues to provide around the world. Today, RMHC’s services reach over 60 countries and regions, offering vital programs that remove barriers, strengthen families, and support healing when children need healthcare the most.
